Chittoor district tourism Places's , Andra Pradesh, India

1.) Venakteswara Swamy Temple: Venkateswara Temple is a landmark Vaishnavite temple situated in the hill town of Tirumala at Tirupati in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, India. The Temple is dedicated to Lord Sri Venkateswara, an incarnation of Vishnu, who is believed to have appeared here to save mankind from trials and troubles of Kali Yuga. Hence the place has also got the name Kaliyuga Vaikuntham and Lord here is referred to as Kaliyuga Prathyaksha Daivam. The temple is also known by other names like Tirumala Temple, Tirupati Temple, Tirupati Balaji Temple. Lord Venkateswara is known by many other names: Balaji, Govinda, and Srinivasa.

2) Srikalahasteeswara temple: Srikalahasti Temple is located in the town of Srikalahasti, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. It is one of the most famous Shiva temples in South India, and is said to be the site where Kannappa was ready to offer both his eyes to cover blood flowing from the Siva linga before the Lord Siva stopped him and granted him mukti.

3) Talakona: The Talakona waterfall is in Sri Venkateswara National Park, Chittoor District of Andhra pradesh in India. With a 270 feet-fall, Talakona is the highest waterfall in the Andhra pradesh state.Talakona is also known for the Lord Siddheswara Swamy Temple, which is located close to the waterfall.

4) Ubbalamadugu Falls : Ubbalamudugu Falls (also called Tada Falls) is a waterfall located near Oneness Temple and Sricity in the Chittoor district of India. Coming under the Buchinaidu kandriga and Varadaiahpalem mandals the falls are located 80 kilometres (50 mi) from Chennai and 35 kilometres (22 mi) from Srikalahasti.

5) Chandragiri Fort, Andhra Pradesh: Chandragiri Fort is a historical fort, built in the 11th century located in Chandragiri, Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh, India. Tough mostly associated with Vijayanagara Kings it was built much earlier in 11th century by Yadava Naidu kings.

6) Vinayaka Temple, Kanipakam: Vinayaka Temple or Sri Varasidhi Vinayaka Swamy Temple is a Hindu temple of Ganesha. It is located in Kanipakam in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh, India

7) Kailasakona Falls: Kailasanatha Kona is located in Narayanavanam Mandal, Chittor District, and Andhra Pradesh. Kailasantha Kona is well known as a Kaliasa Kona. A temple of Lord Shiva and Parvathi is seen nearby. This waterfall is having a height of around 40 feet.

8) Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park:     Big zoo featuring an array of exotic animals, including white tigers, plus a lion safari.

9) Kaigal Water Falls: Kaigal water falls is situated in the Chittor District of Andhra Pradesh state, India and is surrounded by the Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary.

10) Aadhi Varaaha Swamy Temple: Traditional Hindu place of worship dedicated to a supreme deity in the form of a wild boar.

11) Koundinya Wildlife Sanctuary : Kaundinya Wildlife Sanctuary is a wildlife sanctuary and an elephant reserve situated in Andhra Pradesh, India.It is the only sanctuary in Andhra Pradesh with a population of Asian elephants, which migrated after 200 years from neighbouring regions

12) Natural Arch, Tirumala hills: Natural Arch, Tirumala hills, a notified National Geo-heritage Monument, is a distinctive geological feature 1 km north of the Tirumala hills temple, near the Chakra Teertham in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India.

13) Sri Venkateswara Museum: Museum displaying varied religious & cultural artifacts & ornaments, plus photos & instruments.

15) Sri Govinda Raja Swamy Temple: Hindu temple complex built in the 12th century with elaborate carvings, sculptures & daily rituals.

16) Kalyani Dam: The Kalyani Dam is a gravity dam constructed across the Swarnamukhi River at Tirupati city in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh, India. This dam is one of the major sources of water supply for Tirupati city and its catchment areas.

20) Gurramkonda Fort in Chittoor: Built 500 year back, Gurramkonda Fort is a well-known heritage site of India. Located at a distance of 72 kms from Tirupati, the fort is architecturally beautiful and promises to leave all spellbound. It was originally a mud and rock construction which came under the rule of Vijayanagara kingdom. Later, the fort was taken over by the Marathas, Tipu Sultan and was later under the rule of British. It is a must-visit for experience seekers and history buffs. 

21) Vedanarayana Swamy Temple: Nagalapuram is a small town in Andhrapradesh, about 70 kms south east of Thirupathi and about 90 kms North of Chennai. If traveled from Chennai, Nagalapuram is situated about 15 kms from Uthukkottai on the highway towards Puthur, after Suruttuppalli.

22) Puligundu: Located at 18 kms from Chittoor, Puligundu is a dual rock mountain with a height of about 1000 feet from the ground. Interestingly, the hill top resembles a Shiva Lingam. It has a very narrow peak with the temple of Puli Gunteeswara at the basement. People from near-by villages offer special puja at the Shiva temple at the base of this rock during Makar Sankranti time, on the ‘Kanumu’ festival day. The place also offers you quiet a good chance for some adventure with its steep track and helps satisfy your thirst for some real adventure.

23)Boyakonda Gangamma: Boyakonda Gangamma in the location of temple to Gangamma Devi (an incarnation of Shakti) at Boyakonda, Andhra Pradesh 517280, 20 km from Madanapalle and 150 km from Bangalore; it is in the Chowdepalli Mandal, Pungunur taluk, Chittoor district, Andhra Pradesh State of India. There is also a Hindu Pilgrimage centre here.

24) Ardhagiri: Ardhagiri is a hill where Hanuman temple is located. The hill is situated in Aragonda village of Chittoor district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
